Development of Socio-Economic Scale

In social science, efforts for quantitative measurement are being tried in form of various kinds of scales. In fact, social phenomena appears to be complex, intangible and therefore, incapable of numerical expression because of our lack of complete knowledge about it. A number of social scientists developed and standardized socio-economic status scales, which require modification, reformation in light of the advancement took place due to varied agricultural technologies. Considering the facts, the present study has been designed to analyse the socio-economic status of organic farming followers of South Gujarat.
