Diabetes Mellitus Type 2

Previous studies have found a strong association of obesity, sedentary lifestyle, family history of type 2 diabetes, age over 40 years and saturated fat intake with Diabetes Mellitus, to Describe the behavior of type 2 diabetes mellitus in the medical offices of the family 8 and 9 of the Policlínico Manacas in the period 2016- 201, a descriptive observational cross-sectional study was conducted. A greater number of patients in the study sample were found to have arterial hypertension, obesity and no smoking habit. Those with good cholesterol, regular triglycerides and those with a severe sedentary lifestyle predominated. A slight majority did not adhere to the treatment, being the female sex the most adherent to it, the appearance of complications according to the time of evolution of the disease was found in patients with a diagnosis of more than 10 years.
