Dr. Dirk Hochlenert is specialist in Internal Medicine and Diabetology in an outpatient clinic in Cologne. He organises and conducts postgraduate medical training courses for the treatment of DFS. He manages networks for the treatment of DFS in several regions and organises the DFS-Register.
Dr. med. Gerald Engels is Consultant Surgeon in charge of the treatment of DFS in both an outpatient clinic as well as at the St. Vinzenz-Hospital in Cologne. He is a board member of several associations and together with D. Hochlenert organises postgraduate medical training courses for the treatment of DFS as well as teaching the subject in medical schools. Dr. med. Stephan Morbach is a specialist in Internal Medicine, Diabetology and Angiology, Senior Consultant in the department of Diabetology and Angiology at the Marienkrankenhaus in Soest. He is correspondent author of several guidelines for the Diabetic Foot, was Chairman of the Diabetic Foot Study Group ofthe European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) 20042008. Since 2014 he has been Vice Chairman of the 'Consultative Section on the Diabetic Foot' of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF). In the course of the Step-by-Step-Programme he has delivered medical education in several developing countries. Dr. med. Stefanie Schliwa is certified preparator and anatomist at the University of Bonn and specialist in several preparation and dissection techniques. Her work focuses on the visualisation of functional relationships in topographical anatomy, especially that of the foot. Professor Frances L. Game is Consultant Diabetologist at the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology and Clinical Director R&D at Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She also is Honorary Professor, University of Nottingham.
