DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY

Diabetic nephropathy is the leading cause of chronic end-stage renal disease. With each successive stage of nephropathy, this renal risk is associated with an even higher risk of cardiovascular events.It is now a real public health issue because of its complications and consequently its costs. Thus, every effort must be made to preserve renal function and to slow down the progression of renal damage towards chronic end-stage renal disease.
