Diagnosis and treatment of benign vascular tumors of the face

According to the World Health Organization, benign vascular tumors (BTV) are the most frequent and understudied form and occur in 5-10% of all newborns. MVCs are often characterized by a progressive course (75%) and without proper treatment are accompanied by a number of complications (15-18%). DSS are more often manifested in children at the age of 2 weeks after birth, characterized by extremely rapid growth and invasion into surrounding tissues. At the same time, the radicality of treatment of complicated, mixed and cavernous forms of hemangiomas reaches 30-40% and often requires repeated interventions.
