Bronchiectasis is a chronic lung disease involving inflammation and permanent dilation of medium-sized bronchi (>2mm), impairing secretion drainage and leading to bacterial colonization of the airways due to structural alterations in the bronchial wall.Accurate identification and management of bronchiectasis patients are increasingly crucial due to rising prevalence and economic burden. The heterogeneity of bronchiectasis, from clinical to radiological manifestations, poses unique challenges, with etiology playing a key role in therapeutic management. A comprehensive diagnosis integrating clinical and paraclinical elements is essential for effective disease management.Detecting bronchiectasis involves clinical recognition leading to necessary tests to confirm and identify associated illnesses or underlying conditions.While bronchiectasis remains incurable, specific measures can lead to its control, ensuring a high quality of life with normal social activities.
