Die Ruhrgas 1926 bis 2013

For almost nine decades after its founding in 1926, Ruhrgas AG was by far the largest natural gas supplier in Germany and a central force in the energy industry. The firm initiated the European natural gas group and by importing Soviet natural gas, contributed substantially to Willy Brandt's détente policy. Neglected by economic historians to date, this is the first study of the firm's history to be published.
