Dielectric Materials' Selection for Marine Applications
Details
Dielectrics are widely used in maritime systems, from electrical power systems to communications and electronics. These materials have to withstand great stresses onboard ships, which are connected not just to usual operation, but also to marine environment. It is important to understand influences of different factors to dielectrics aboard. Hence, influential factors aboard ships were investigated. This book introduces influence of different factors through the complex relative dielectric constant. Failure of dielectrics leads to failure of the system. Therefore, benefits of such insights are in reducing environmental damage and economical losses, and to prevent casualties. This book proposes an algorithm for the selection of dielectrics, which can help developers in making their products more reliable.
