Digitalisation in the financial sector

The process of digital transformation is also bringing about profound changes in the financial sector and its environment. Digitisation is having a particular impact on strategy and its implementation, as well as on banks' business models. A variety of influencing factors with regard to digitalisation and its dynamics are increasing the pressure on the financial services industry. This structural change can no longer be averted. State-of-the-art Internet technology products and services are being offered by new competitors. For this reason, important parts of the value chain of banks are also threatened. In order for financial institutions to remain competitive and provide a positive experience for their customers, they need to adapt their business models. FinTechs and innovative offerings are forcing traditional banks to rethink. With the help of digitalization, banks are trying to automate routine processes and improve customer service in particular.
