Dilemma of HIV test among Health Workers
Details
This book is the first edition attempting to contextualize the effect of HIV on human population. It can be argued that a number of efforts have been done to suggest methods of alleviating HIV/AIDS impact at primary, secondary and tertiary levels in the world. African countries are among the worst affected. One category of people that appears to be neglected despite being at the center of the pandemic are health workers. Health workers are front runners in prevention, treating and general caring of HIV/AIDS patients. unfortunately health workers just like others many a time find themselves affected with HIV/AIDS, directly or indirectly. Being care givers themselves,it becomes a challenge for them to relate to patients and work mates when they are directly affected. This book highlights the challenges in view of stimulating scholars, heath workers and society at large to start thinking of caring for the carer. This may eventually influence positive policy change suited for health workers themselves
