Diplomacy through Culture
Details
1945 was the date that marked the end of World War II, another page of history was opened. The peoples of the United Nations swore to never wage war again because of the untold number of lives lost in this intercontinental belligerence, or in other words among the great powers. But the quest for power remains the ultimate goal of all countries. However, the choice to reach a compromise to sign a "Peace Treaty" so that there would be no more of this type of bloody war in the world seemed to be an imperative. All the big countries such as the United States, France, Germany, Italy and England had to find other ways to achieve this. Soft power became the alternative. Using the most flexible, softest means, without using coercive force to achieve these objectives. Thus, culture, humanitarian aid, and other means are now used by countries for this purpose. Haiti, in the heart of this matter, must follow in the footsteps of this more effective and less costly diplomacy: Cultural Diplomacy.
