Disaster Management: A Comparative Study of PAP's under Rehab Project
Details
Rehabilitation is an important issue when it is associated with a developmental project. After the massive Mumbai Flood of 2005 the Government undertook a developmental project so as to relocate those people who were staying close to the bank of Mithi River to a location at Tunga Village, Andheri East, Mumbai. This relocation of Project Affected People (PAP s) had impacted the lives of these people in terms of Housing, Health, Sanitation, Education, and access to basic amenities. The study focuses on what change this rehabilitation had brought in their lives through their own experiences. It also focuses on issues, problems, limitations faced by the overall community under a developmental project. It tries to learn from their experiences what positive change has occurred in their lives.
