It was found that the mothers' ages were optimal for breastfeeding between 20 and 35 years (75.6%), average technician (46.7%), that as a cause of abandonment they had a damaged nipple (28.9%), poor infant positioning techniques (26.9%) with a birth weight of more than 3001 g (77.7%), and the most common complication in children was acute respiratory infections (42.2%).It was concluded. The period in which they abandoned breastfeeding, most of them did it early, they had knowledge about breastfeeding and family support did not influence the maintenance of exclusive breastfeeding.
