Discourse Analysis of Floyd Dell's Sweet-and-Twenty

This work is analysis of play. In the process of analysis, I faced some problems in choosing theoretical framework. After assessing frameworks in the area, I decided to use Grice's cooperative theory and tried to put foundation of the work. Based on this the play has been analyzed against four maxims of cooperative principle such as maxim of quality, quantity, relevance and manner. The play reveals two lovers. As a result, it could be judged that the beneficiary's age group would fall between teen and adult age.
