In the light of New Zealand s recent efforts to learn more about the European Union s newest parts, this research aims to investigate avenues to improve the status quo in the sphere of the South Pacific nation s political, business, scientific and person-to-person relations with Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The monograph is based on the author s research submitted in fulfilment for the Degree of Master of Arts in European Studies in the University of Canterbury (Christchurch, New Zealand). Its findings could be used by both New Zealand and the Baltics decision-makers in the field of international relations.
