Distant weather elements sensing for short term load forecasting
Details
Load forecasting is important, especially in developing countries where efficient energy production is a must. Power consumption largely depends on atmospheric elements. But acquisition and integrating all the weather elements into Load Dispatch Centre is quite tough. This project describes how to sense weather elements such as temperature, humidity, air speed and how to monitor these parameters from a remote place using computer through parallel port interfacing. It also describes problem occurs in interfacing and solutions. Weather element is not stable. System/machine depends on it required to know the characteristics of these element. In modern world almost everything is computerized. So, networking is also applied is this project that helps to monitor and measure data's from different places simultaneously. In this project direct access of parallel-port from another computer within same LAN is also used. This book will help industry peoples who have dependency on weather elements to sense it in an inexpensive way. This book will also help students and researchers who are working on parallel-port, remote sensing and renewable energy.
