Gharials are only survivor of Gavialidae family, realised as in extremely critical conservation situation. This research was accomplished in western part of Nepal to know the status, distribution pattern and conservation threats of the Gharials. This book basically deals with critical analysis on; distribution pattern relating it with trend and released population, mercurial sex ratio and normative recommendations. So this book will be of higher interest for but not limited to; wildlife biologist, ecologist, wildlife manager, environmentalist and all who are interested in gaining the deep understanding of species relating it with threat pattern.

Mr. Thapaliya has graduated in Forestry and been working in Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation, Nepal since one decade.He has been awarded with Abraham Conservation Award, recognizing his contribution in wildlife conservation. He has active involvement on various organizations in different capacities.
