Distribution of poverty in the state of Ceará:

The objective of this study was to analyse poverty considering economic, human capital, infrastructure and environmental characteristics in the state of Ceará from a multidimensional perspective. To this end, the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) was calculated for the 184 municipalities based on secondary data obtained from IPECE, IBGE and UNDP, considering the years 2000 and 2010. The calculated index was composed of indicators divided into four functions: human capital, economy, infrastructure and environment.
