In today's dynamic and interconnected world, the economy and society are becoming increasingly complex and diverse. Above all, the megatrends of globalisation, women's empowerment, demographic change and individualisation are increasingly taking centre stage. Megatrends are global, long-term processes of change with lasting effects on all areas of life, such as consumption, politics and the economy. Unlike short-term trends, they influence a period of up to 30 years. They are therefore trends that represent developments in the world, especially in society. In order to be economically successful, companies - and above all their human resources management - must face up to these trends. On the one hand, human resources planning is influenced by constant developments in the fields of information, technology and communication. Furthermore, generational and value changes, as well as gender issues, must increasingly be taken into account in decision-making.
