Do open source web technologies improve business firms

Open source web technologies are software that can be freely distributed with source code included. These are easily available, such as by free download from the Internet. The basic research problem is to - assess the potential of open source web technologies in transforming the business firms. The various effects of open source web technologies on business firms are illustrated by survey based statistical analysis and detailed SWOT analysis.
