Dodola is one of the 180 woredas in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia; it is named after the administrative center of the woreda, Dodola. Part of the Bale Zone, Dodola is bordered on the south by Nensebo, on the west by Kokosa, on the north by the Shebelle River which separates it from the Arsi Zone, and on the east by Adaba. Other towns include Herero. The highest points in this woreda are Mount Ilale, Mount Korduro and Mount Somkeru. Rivers include the Keresa, Ukuma, Negeso and Gude Yerso which are tributaries of the Shebelle.
