One of the well know Pharmacovigilance professionals who has also been part of developing regulations for the industries and institutions, studied the drug utilization pattern and medication related issues in patients underwent hemodialysis. The focus of this scientific piece of writing were as follows- Prescription pattern Patients' demographics CRF causes and co-morbid conditions Hemodialysis adequacy Dialysis procedure complications After several prescriptions assessment, blood sample analysis, and patient interactions it was clearly documented that an immediate concurrent feedback strategy implemented directly may result in a substantial reduction of inappropriate drug regimens, which is likely to translate into risk reductions for concentration dependent (avoidable) medication related problems.
