Drug Utilization Review on Corticosteroids Use

This book describes Drug Utilization review (DUR) on the use of Corticosteroids, presenting different parameters of DUR. Starting with the introduction on DUR and the reason behind selecting corticosteroids for DUR from diverse number of drug classes available. It highlights overall mechanisms, administration techniques, guidelines, Intra-articular use, Intra nasal corticosteroids use, Adverse drug reactions, side effects and antagonists. Points which are included in the study are Therapeutic appropriateness, duplication, over/under utilization, drug interactions and clinical abuse or misuse. Drug interactions are segregated on the basis of severe, significant and minor according to the effect produced by drugs in response to their action.
