Elisabeth Amandi studied timpani/percussion and rock/jazz drumset as one of the first women at the University of Music in Würzburg with Prof. Siegfried Fink. For several years she played in rock, dance and jazz bands. At the same time she distinguished herself as a drum teacher at music schools in Munich. She still runs her drum school of the Amandi Foundation. Numerous students have won prizes at Jugend Musiziert - prizes at regional, state and national level. As the author of textbooks, playbooks and compositions or percussion instruments has made a name for herself as a pioneer in the percussion world.
