Dynamic Source Routing Protocol and Its Importance

Dynamic Source Routing Protocol is a reactive routing protocol. It finds the route to destination only when required. Thus, it is also called On-Demand Routing Protocol. The main features of this protocol are: 1. Source Routing 2. Does not require support of another protocol 3. Supports two way communication 4. Has Route Cache to keep records of route to destination 5. Works better with mobility. The two phases of DSR are: 1. Route Discovery 2. Route Maintenance.

I am from Ahmedabad. I have completed my graduation in engineering in Information Technology.
