Cashew-nut industry is gift of India to the world. It has been started and grown on Indian soil. Today, India is global leader in world cashew economy. It has an impact on the rural economy in terms of employment opportunities, livelihood, entrepreneurship development, foreign exchange, Indian brand, socio-economic development and so on. Therefore Government of India is very keen on developing the cashew-nut industry by initiating various programmes.
