Dynamics of Intra-Party Politics in Nigeria

People's Democratic Party (PDP), being party in Government prior to the period of this work was much expected by the Nigerians and International observers/players to retain power at the presidency, but on the contrary, the party lost to the strong opposition party All Progressive Congress(APC). However, various factors are responsible for the loss which are attributed basically to the internal wrangling within the party (PDP) or among the party's big-wigs are subsequently referenced in this work. And in conclusion, the work also tends to provide recommendations to be adopted for reinstatement of the party's dignity and subsequent victory in the future elections. Moreso, the research result is applicable in foreign states where the phenomenon is being experienced.
