Dysfunctional dysphonia

The first objective of this study was to investigate the contribution of this technique in the speech therapy management of dysphonia in adults, and to compare it with the classical Hush method.This method aims to rapidly improve the intimate biomechanics of the larynx in dysphonia by establishing the aerodynamic balance of sub- and supra-glottic pressures through the use of internal sounds initially emitted with a straw and then moving from this pressure balance to resonance balance in order to achieve an effortless radiated voice.Our patients were followed during the whole study period and were divided into two groups, one group which is treated with the classical method and a second one with the straw method.
