E-Governance In Kerala

E-Governance marked a paradigm shift in the philosophy of governance-citizen centric instead of process centric and large scale public participation through ICT s enablement. E-Governance provides government services to the citizen at their doorstep through the use of computer and internet and avoiding unnecessary paper works and formalities. The government services are easily made accessible for the improved quality of life and betterment of the society through transparent and efficient system. It has been observed that good governance is the key indicator for the development of the economy and good governance can be provided only while using E-Governance as an instrument. This book highlights one such experiment in the state of Kerala, India. This book will be of immense use to the academicians, researchers, students and politicians who have interest in state administration by using ICT.
