E-Waste Management

Electronic waste describes discarded electrical or electronic devices. The used electronics which are destined for Reuse, Resale, and Salvage, recycling or disposal are also considered as e-waste. Informal processing of electronic waste in developing countries may cause serious health and pollution problems, though these countries are also most likely to reuse and repair electronics. In India, the quantity of "e-waste" or electronic waste has now become a major problem. Disposal of e-waste is an emerging global environmental and public health issue, as this waste has become the most rapidly growing segment of the formal municipal waste stream in the world. In India, solid waste management, with the emergence of e-waste, has become a complicated task.
