This new virus known as COVID-19 has a high lethal power and dissemination, having reached several countries causing a pandemic. This virus has stages and in its severe stage, it can cause prolonged hospitalization in intensive care units (ICU).Early mobilization is a physical therapy resource that helps to reduce the prolonged effect of immobility to bed. The aim of this study is to verify the importance of early mobilization in patients with COVID-19 in intensive care unit. To analyze the degree of active and passive range of motion, which may be classified as normal or decreased. To investigate the degree of peripheral muscle strength of lower and upper limbs, and to obtain, through the cut-off point of the sum of the scores of the 12 movements, the diagnosis of ICU-acquired weakness.
