Early okra production with plant growth regulator
Details
An experiment on use of plant growth regulator for yield enhancement of okra plant found Gibberellic acid and Triacontanol effective on earliness and prolong reproductive stage. This study has shown potential of Triacontanol application in okra crop especially in plain areas of Nepal to fetch higher price during early summer season. Triacontanol has been recommended for earlier and off-season okra production as it is cheap and farmers can easily use as seed treatment as well as foliar spray.

Mr. Acharya is a scientist of Nepal Agriculture Research Council (NARC), Nepal and currently a PhD scholar in Central Queensland University, Australia. He has conducted various researches in horticulture sector and published a number of research articles in national and international journals.
