Eastern Nepal:Ethnicity And Craniofacial Anthropometry

Nepal is a multilingual, multireligious and multiethnic country, with a population of more than 26 million people, belonging to over 40 different races and tribes.Nepalese society is ethnically diverse and complex in phenotype (physical characteristics) and culture ranging between Indian to Tibetan. the Anthropometric studies play a significant role in distinguishing pure ethnic races versus the global mingling of races.No such study related to the Craniofacial Anthropometry has been carried out in Eastern Nepal among Tibeto-Nepalese, Indo-Nepalese and Indigenous ethnic groups to the best of our knowledge.
