Echocardiographic left ventricular parameters compared with MRI

Several studies have investigated the concordance of echocardiography with cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) for determining left ventricular function, volume and mass. However, these studies have mostly been conducted by reference laboratories. Therefore, the agreement between the two methods in daily routine practice may be overestimated. The aim of this study was therefore to determine the agreement between CMR and echocardiography in a large cohort of consecutive patients.
