Growing concern about climate change and the understanding that anthropogenic actions are significant in exacerbating global warming and atmospheric pollutant emissions intensifies the incentive, on the part of governments and private institutions, to implement sustainable solutions in cities and production chains, thereby reducing the impact on the environment and human living conditions. This book seeks to evaluate the potential of Eco-driving applied to freight transport, contextualizing its potential within green logistics, and also presents the benefits of Eco-driving applied to urban waste collection vehicles, which achieved up to a 7.6% improvement in fuel economy in the pilot test carried out in the case study presented.
