Eco Restoration of Deepar Beel, Assam

The book "Eco-restoration of Deepar Beel, Assam: In the Southern Part of the Wetland" is an outcome of an academic effort to restore a degrading but internationally important wetland located in the north eastern part of Assam, India. As an architect, the author has analyzed the environment of the wetland from ecological point of view and proposed some protection measures as well as a few infrastructure for optimum use of the wetland resources for economic upliftment of the local poor and to give knowledge on the wetland resources keeping the age old heritage of the region.

Ar.Praschaya Kaushik has completed B.Arch from Guwahati College of Architecture,Assam in 2011 and pursuing Masters in Urban and Regional Planning in CEPT University,Ahmadabad,India for 2011-2013.She got a few awards for her excellence in academic and cultural fields and published 5 research papers in National & International Journals & Proceedings.
