ECUADORIAN CIVIL PROCEDURE MANUAL

This manual develops in a systematic and doctrinaire way the Ecuadorian civil procedure in force, according to the General Organic Code of Proceedings (COGEP). It explains the fundamental principles governing civil jurisdictional activity, the actions of the parties and procedural acts, the various stages of the civil process, precautionary measures and the evaluation of evidence, and includes a detailed treatment of appeals, the enforcement of judgments, special, monitorious and executive proceedings , as well as procedural nullities and the issuance of judicial resolutions. A chapter is dedicated to an exhaustive analysis of the relevant jurisprudence on the subject, with the purpose of illustrating the interpretation of norms by the Ecuadorian high courts.
