Education and Women Empowerment in Pakistan

The main objective of the present study was to check out the association between the level of education and Women Empowerment among women in rural areas of District Gujrat, Pakistan. A survey method was used as a technique of data collection, interview schedule was developed to collect data and it was pre-tested by eight respondents. Purposive sampling technique was used to draw 60 women of rural Gujrat, Pakistan. After the collection of data from field, it was edited, coded and computerized. SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Sciences) was use to analyze data. Univariate and bivairate tables were drawn containing frequency and percentages of data. Statistical test was used to test the hypothesis. Major findings of the study showed that there is an association between level of education and women empowerment.
