Education for Sustainable Development-Training Material

Ain Shams University ,Cairo, Egypt adopts the implementation of the project "Education for Sustainable Development", which aims to: - Correct the concept of sustainable development, which is always accompanied by the concept of environmental protection only to be including society and economy as well as environment dimensions. - Draw lessons from past experiences of countries that developed programs and activities in the field of education for sustainable development. - Share good practices in the field of education for sustainable development between the Egyptian universities and the world. - Cooperate with the media, which is an essential tool to raise awareness and promote a culture of sustainable development. Through the implementation of this project Ain Shams University promotes a culture of education for sustainable development and we are honored to offer the first output of the project, which is this training manual.

Prof.Mohamed Sayed Salama, Vice President of Ain Shams University (ASU) for Post Graduate Studies and Research and Dr. Neven Asem Ashaat, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Women, ASU who is Internationally Certified Trainer and HRD Consultant have been working on this project for two years (2009-2010)which ended up with this training material.
