Educational Administration in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams:A Study

Education is the most important invention of mankind. It is as old as the human being. Its importance has been identified since time immemorial and it continues till today. "Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man"1. In ancient India, Education was identified as a means to rediscover one's own potential in a spiritual dimension. It was defined as the way to manifestation of perfection that is already present in man. Thinkers of ancient India thought that education is the third eye of a person. It gives him insight into all affairs. It teaches him/her how to act justly and rightly. It leads him to realize the true significance of life. It removes darkness and shatters illusion. Education nourishes us like a mother. It directs us to the proper path like the father. It guides us to reach our destination like a teacher. Education has been recognized as a fundamental right and it is viewed as a process of human resource development where knowledge, skill and capabilities are sharpened to achieve a wide range of objectives. In a democracy, education is used for giving training for good citizenship. It can produce leaders in different walks of life.
