Educational Corporate Social Responsibility Practices

All over the world there is increasing importance given by the corporations to social responsibility activities. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has redefined the way business is done. Through CSR, companies can contribute immensely in the economic and social progress of a country. In a developing country India, good CSR practices can effect meaningful change. At present India witnesses a paradoxical situation. It s economic growth is at its best but its rank in the Human Development Index is very low. The main reason for this is the dismal performance of health and education sectors. Companies in India should take up education as a priority CSR issue as it is the key to human, social and economic development ( UNESCO).In this context, this book is very important.
