Educational innovation

In an ever-changing academic world, doctoral education is currently at a crossroads. The rise of digital technologies, the growing complexity of knowledge, the increased demands of the job market and the aspirations of doctoral students for more personalised pathways require a fundamental overhaul of teaching practices. Educational innovation is thus emerging as a strategic lever, not only to enhance the quality of doctoral education, but also to ensure its relevance and impact at the national and international levels. Far from being a simple adoption of technological tools, educational innovation refers to a transformation of teaching and learning approaches. It aims to restore meaning to the act of learning by placing doctoral students at the heart of a reflective, interactive and collaborative process. It mobilises active approaches, hybrid systems and more authentic assessment tools, with a view to gradually empowering and giving responsibility to learner-researchers.
