Edward James Loder (1813 5 April 1865) was an English composer and conductor. His best remembered work is the 1855 opera Raymond and Agnes. Born in Bath, Somerset, he was the son of John David Loder (1788 1846), a notable violinist and musical director of the Theatre Royal, Bath. Edward Loder was also the cousin of composer and conductor George Loder (1816 1868), and of George's sister, composer and pianist Kate Loder (1825 1904). Another family member was pianist Lucy Anderson, the maternal aunt of George and Kate Loder.
