Effect of cryogenic treatment on the performance of High speed steel

The present research has been done to study the effect of different independent input process parameters on the desired responses in the turning operation using cryogenically treated and heat treated single point cutting tools of HSS. The full factorial technique has been used for the design of experiment. The effect of speed, feed and depth of cut have been found on the surface roughness and power consumption of motor by turning a length of 100mm on mild steel rods, using both kind of tools. The effect of all the input parameter on the output responses have been analyzed using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) and mathematical modeling. The model predicted values have been compared with their respective experimental values.

Il Dr. Chandan Deep Singh lavora come professore assistente presso il dipartimento di ingegneria meccanica dell'Università di Punjabi, Patiala. Ha completato il dottorato di ricerca in ingegneria meccanica nel 2016. Ha all'attivo circa 60 pubblicazioni su varie riviste internazionali e ha guidato circa 30 studenti per la tesi di M.Tech.
