Effect of Information Technology on Glycemic Control of Children

Information technology enabled diabetes children for management of themselves and helps to improve their care processes, which in turn reduces the rate of diabetic complications. This book aimed to study the effect of information technology based intervention on glycemic control of children suffering from diabetes. A quasi-experimental design was utilized in this study. Findings showed that there was statistical significant difference between per and post test of information based intervention in most items related to diabetic children's knowledge and actual practice and use of information technology on glycemic control. This book concluded that information technology based intervention was effective in improving glycemic control of children with type 1 diabetes. It recommended that applying such Information technology based intervention programs in other diabetic clinics and hospitals for better glycemic control of diabetic children.
