Effect of Mulching on Growth and Yield of Hot Pepper

There is a need to improve irrigation management and water use efficiency in crop production. Hot pepper being a high value and labour intensive cash crop, with high production costs, it is necessary to devise means of decreasing the cost of production. Organic mulching is recommended as a tactical tool to increase productivity of hot pepper because it improves growth and yield by improving all physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil and also lowering the production cost.
