EFFECTIVE WAYS TO USE SONGS IN TEACHING ENGLISH LANGUAGE
Details
The goal of this research is to present effective methods to employ songs to enhance the needed English abilities in Uzbekistan's national curriculum, which include grammar, speaking, listening, writing, and reading, as well as vocabulary and pronunciation. The researcher aims to investigate how song lyrics might be used as additional material in handbooks. The findings revealed that song lyrics may be used for a variety of reasons depending on the inventiveness of the teachers and the requirements of the pupils. The lyrics of a song can be tailored to emphasize a grammatical point, vocabulary point, listening point, or speaking point by the teacher. Reading and writing abilities can be increased via song at some point, as English skills cannot be taught independently. The paper also discusses several tried and true methods for employing songs in the classroom, as well as some issues that teachers may encounter while using songs.
