Details

Back pain, affecting 75-80% of the Indian population, is a common issue with 80% being caused by poor posture, sedentary lifestyles, lack of exercise, obesity, smoking, drinking, inadequate treatment, and stress. Non-specific low back pain (CNSLBP) is the most common, affecting people's quality of life and work performance. Work-related musculoskeletal illnesses (WMSDs) are prevalent among tailors in developing countries, with Asians, India, and Pakistan having the highest frequency. Dorn Therapy, created by Dieter Dorn in the late 1970s, is an alternative healing technique for back pain and spinal disorders. A study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Dorn therapy and mobilization in tailors with nonspecific chronic low back pain using NPRS and ODI scales. The results showed no significant differences between pre- and post-treatment NPRS scores in both groups. However, there were significant changes in pre- and post-treatment NPRS scores in Group B, suggesting that DORN treatment significantly reduces pain and improves functional abilities in tailors with NSCLBP.
