EFFECTIVENESS OF TRAINING PROGRAM AMONG PARENTS OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

Raising a child with ASD can be overwhelming and challenging for parents, and it poses different needs that require support, guidance, and education. The primary objective of this study was to assess the effectiveness of parent training on parents' mental health outcomes, including parental anxiety, depression, quality of life, and adjustment. Additionally, the impact of the intervention on child outcomes, such as communication, disruptive behavior, and autism severity, was assessed. The study showed promising results, indicating that the Blue Hope program effectively improved communication and reduced behavior problems in preschool children with ASD. Furthermore, it demonstrated positive effects on parental anxiety and depression. These encouraging findings suggest that the program could serve as a foundational step in the development and enhancement of training programs for parents of children with ASD. Its demonstrated success makes it a strong candidate for potential adoption as a nationally implemented training program, offering comprehensive and lasting support for families facing the challenges of ASD.
