Effects of Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) on OCDMA

This chapter contains a detailed analysis on a number of computer simulation experiments that have been performed to study various effects of stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) on the performance of an optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) system based on Enhanced Double Weight (EDW) code. The design parameters involved in this study are the transmitting power into fiber, transmission distance, data bit rate, and effective core area of optical fiber.

Fuad A. Hatim was born in Basrah - Iraq in 1974. He obtained his Master of Science (Microengineering and Nanoelectronics) from University Kebangsaan Malaysia, Institute of Micro Engineering and Nanoelectronics (IMEN) in 2009. He has more than Sixteen years experience in different fields: teaching, academic researches, projects and engineering.
